The Skamania County Historical Society invites members and the public to join in the celebration of anniversary of the opening of the museum, Saturday, May 19. The free festivities includes brass band music provided by Whiskey Flats Band under the direction of Mark McCormack and vintage logging equipment operating just outside the main entry. For the first time, food and beverages will be available. Traditional hand crafts will be demonstrated throughout the first floor. The annual membership meeting will convene at 2 p.m. in the DeGroote Theatre. At 2:30 p.m. sit back and enjoy humor and close harmony as the quartet, Social Insecurity, sings and performs several comedy routines. This is a program appropriate for all ages, the young and young at heart.
