11th Annual Show 'n' Shine

The Museum has an excellent car & truck show event. Our 11th annual Show 'n Shine will be held on Saturday, September 1st, 2007 from 12-4pm.

Plans Rev Up for the Annual Show ‘N Shine

Stevenson, WA. Plan a family outing Labor Day weekend that will be fun for everyone and nostalgic!

The Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center Museum in Stevenson, WA., invites you and your family to come and enjoy the 11th Annual Show ‘N Shine, Saturday, September 1, from noon to 4:00 P.M. The Museum is at the west end of Stevenson, and located at 990 SW Rock Creek Drive, just below Skamania Lodge. Enjoy the scenic drive, an easy 45 minutes east of Portland-Vancouver, or 45 minutes west of The Dalles, Oregon.

Familiar tunes will be heard as you fill out the People's Choice Ballot@ and vote for your favorite classic car and truck in more than seventeen categories. More than one hundred entrants are expected. At the same time, a swap meet will be in progress on the south end of the property.

The good ol’ American burger, Polish sausage hot dog, beverages, ice cream and popcorn will be available to appease the appetite.

Dash plaques, trophies, door prizes and a raffle are possible only by the generous contributions from local Gorge businesses. Registration of a vehicle is $10 payable to the Museum by calling (800) 991-2338 or (509) 427-8211. MasterCard or Visa accepted. Drivers of the first 125 vehicles registered in the show will receive one guest pass to the Museum in the goodie bag. A space fee for the swap meet is also $10. Spectators and “droolers” are free.

The Museum is open with exhibits that interpret the cultural and natural history of the Gorge. Two theatres, a short-term art display, and a museum store are all additional interesting features. Don’t miss seeing the 1912 Peerless car, a truly magnificent vehicle that has been lovingly restored. Museum admission fees apply.

Music, cars, trucks, good food, museum experience ---- all within a pristine setting---- add up to a great Labor Day weekend event! Come enjoy the fun and at the same time support this fund raiser, a benefit for the Museum’s programs and general operation.
